Deborah School of Dance Baton Twirling Achievement Program
The Deborah School of Dance Baton Twirling Achievement Program was first implemented in Fall of 2003 and has already been very successful. The achievement program is modeled from the United States Twirling Association’s (USTA) Competitive/Achievement System and is a system of teaching baton twirling with a logical progression of skill development, which also correlates with an achievement and competition structure. This system focuses on self-achievement. Upon enrollment into a baton class each student will receive a booklet which will include a copy of the achievement program. This booklet will allow students to track their achievement and can be used as a practice guide.Upon successful evaluation of a level, students will receive an achievement award. The Deborah School of Dance achievement program uses star levels.Below is how our star levels compare with USTA recognized levels.
All baton classes at the Deborah School of Dance are taught by a certifed USTA coach. Students will soon be competing in nationally recognized baton twirling competitions. For more information about USTA, check out their website at www.ustwirling.com.
